The hashtag #boycottwalgreens has exploded on Twitter, fueled by abortion rights supporters who are angry over the pharmacy giant's plans to refuse to dispense abortion pills in 21 states, including four states where abortion remains legal.

Walgreen's was started in 1901. CVS was started in the 1960's (I'm not sure of the exact year but I know Walgreen's because it's part of their logo “trusted since 1901”.). In my area of Minnesota Walgreens is by far the older of the two drugstores. I don't remember having CVS drugstores in Minnesota until about 2000.
