Escape from Tarkov Shoreline Map Beginner's Guide - Odealo (1)

Introduction

Tarkov's Shoreline is a very diverse map that offers a lot of PvP opportunities and good loot. The map features both open terrains and enclosed areas; Health Resort located in the north and villages/estate areas located in the west are great stages for a fast-paced,mid-to-close range,engagements; while open areas, like the shore, offer good opportunities for snipers who like to engage their enemies from a faraway, concealed positions. Because of this, Shoreline is regarded as one of the, if not the best, PvP maps Tarkov has to offer. On top of that, it features some of the best loot available in the game, but a large part of it is hidden in enclosed rooms inside the Health Resort. The Shoreline is one of the biggest maps in Tarkov, each Raid on it lasts for 55 minutes and features 8 to 13 players + dozens of NPC Scav spawns.

The Shoreline is a map on which every player will find something for themselves:

  • It offers some of the best PvP locationsin the game, including enclosed areas that are not infested with snipers and open ones that are great for them.
  • The map features open terrains, big and small buildings, vantage points, and woodlands, all of which promote different strategies/playstyles. The map's diversity makes it more interesting and makes subsequent Raids much less boring.
  • Elaborate Key system - there are several dozen keys tied to Shoreline, some of them give access to very valuable loot.

Points of Interest

There is a lot to explorealong theTarkov's Shoreline, from a large abandoned "Azure Coast" Holiday Resort anddeserted villas,through hidden bunkers and small islands, to the pier and a Lighthouse; here are some of the most interesting locations (possible loot included).

1. Health Resort's North Wing / Admin

The Administration Building of the "Azure Coast" Health Resort. As you would expect from such a structure, there are offices, storage rooms, some leisure areas, and maintenance rooms inside. Down in the Admin Building's basem*nt, there is also a Scav-only extraction point that is always open.

Note:Because of the fact that most of the worthwhile loot available on Shoreline spawns inside the Health Resort, the Admin Building is one of the most crowdedareas on the whole map; you can be certain that there will be other players around (many of them in squads).

Location -Center of the Shoreline map, north of the Power Plant and north-east of the Village/Estate area; building in the northern part of the area.The Health Resort's North Wing / Adminis marked as number "1" on our Map.

Possible Loot:Many Safes, Drawers, PC Blocks, technical loot, medical supplies, provisions, possible Flashdrives, Weapon Cases, possible Key spawns, and much, much more. Moreover, there is a Blue Lab. Keycard spawn inside an ambulance parked in front of the Admin Building (under the catwalk).

2. Health Resort's West Wing

The western part of the "Azure Coast" Health Resort. It features dozens of apartments on floors 2 and 3, many of which share balconies (this means that you can access one room through another, which can be very convenient if both neighboring rooms are locked and you just have one key), and offices on floor 1. Moreover, there is a swimming pool and a gym in the West Wing's basem*nt.

Note:Because of the fact that some of the best loot available on Shoreline spawns inside the Health Resort's West Wing building, this is one of the most dangerous areas on the map; you can be certain that there will be other players around (many of them in squads).

Location -Center of the Shoreline map, north of the Power Plant and north-east of the Village/Estate area; building in the south-westernpart of the area.The Health Resort's Westis marked as number "2" on our Map.

Possible Loot:Multiple loose Weapon Spawns, PC Blocks, Safes, Medbags, Toolboxes, Duffle Bags, Weapon Boxes, Money, Jewelry, Rare Items, Grenade Boxes, and much, much more (many of the locked rooms make you feel like you've just scored a jackpot when you open them, but some others contain mostly disappointment). Moreover, there are multiple Key spawns scattered around the building, including Red and Blue Lab. Keycards.

3.Health Resort's East Wing

Eastern part of the "Azure Coast" Health Resort. It features dozens of apartments on floors 2 and 3, many of which share balconies (this means that you can access one room through another, which can be very convenient if both neighboring rooms are locked and you just have one key), and offices on floor 1.

Note:Just like with two other parts of the Resort, East Wing contains some of the best loot available on Shoreline, which attracts players and makes this place very dangerous.

Location -Center of the Shoreline map, north of the Power Plant and north-east of the Village/Estate area; building in the south-eastern part of the area.The Health Resort's East is marked as number "3" on our Map.

Possible Loot:Multiple loose Weapon Spawns, PC Blocks, Safes, Medbags, Toolboxes, Duffle Bags, Weapon Boxes, Money, Jewelry, Rare Items, Grenade Boxes, and much, much more (many of the locked rooms make you feel like you've just scored a jackpot when you open them, but some others contain mostly disappointment).Moreover, there are multiple Key spawns scattered around the building, including RedLab. 4. Power Plant

Shoreline's power station complex, easily recognizable from afar by three high voltage power lines that start here. The area features a large main building, guard shack, some abandoned cars, and a sandbag entrenchment outside of the main entrance. This area should be approached with caution as there is NPC Scav spawn located here.

Location -Central part of the map, south of the Health Resort, north of the Gas Station, and north-east of the Scav Island.The Power Plant is marked as number "4" on our Map.

Possible Loot:

  • Grenade Box inside the sandbag entrenchment just outside the area.
  • Inside the shack close to the complex's entrance: Office 104 West Wing Key [San.104] inside the locker.
  • In the main building: East Wing Room 222 Key [San.222] spawn on the first floor, sitting on a chair; a Toolbox, two Jackets, and some loose loot.

5. Villas / Estates

Private luxury estates abandoned because of the Tarkov conflict. It is easy to see that their previous owners didn't have money-related problems, which means that there must be something of value inside... Be aware that Scavs are after the loof from the Villas as well and there is an NPC Scav spawn in the area (some caution is advised).

Note: Many players use the name "Cottages" to describe this location, because of the "Cottage Key" that opens the eastern Villa.

Location -Western part os the Shoreline, south-west of the Health Resort, south of the swamp, and north-east of the Tunnel extraction point.Villas / Estates are marked as number "5" on our Map.

Possible Loot:

  • Western Villa: multiple Duffle Bags, a Medbag, two Safes, two Jackets, two Weapon Cabinets, a PC Block, and a Keyrack that can spawn the West Wing Room 220 Key [San.220].
  • Eastern Villa: The Cottage Back Entrance Key [Cottage] spawn on the water barrels just outside the building (it opens the Eastern Villa/Cottage); Inside: Weapon Spawn, some loose money, two Safes, PC Block, two Weapon Cabinets, and a Duffle Bag.

6. Gas Station

A Gas Station situated by the main Shoreline road. The Station's building is currently on fire and there are no firefighters around... but you can still enter the building (try to hug the walls so the fire does minimal damage to you and remember to heal before you run out; otherwise you risk death in flames). There are NPC Scav spawns nearby, so expect to get shot by them on your approach.

Location -Southern part of the map, by the main road, close to the shore; south of the Health Resort and the Powerplant, just north-west of the Marina.The Gas Station is marked as number "6" on our Map.

Possible Loot: Two Weapon Boxes, and a Safe. Moreover, on the beach just south of the Gas Station, there is a West Wing Room 221 Key [San.221] spawn (on a beach chair, close to an umbrella).

7. Scav Island / Loot Island

A small islandclose to the shore, connected with the mainland by a wrecked barge. There is a small wooden house on the island together with some makeshift workbenches, a wooden shack and a wooden warehouse. The island is well-knownfor the NPC Scav spawn located there, so some caution is advised when approaching this spot. Island itself is quite exposed, but the barge offers some good cover against enemies who try to shoot you from the mainland.

Location - South-western part of the map, west of the Gas Station, and south of the Villas / Estates.The Scav Island / Loot Island is marked as number "7" on our Map.

Possible Loot: TwoToolboxes, two Weapon Boxes (one located inside the warehouse and second one located inside the house), two Medbags (in the shack, look inside a wooden crate), someloose loot that is scattered around the area, and two possible Key spawns located ona table that has an outboard motor on it (East Wing Room 226 Key [San.226] and East Wing Room 328 Key [San.328]).

8. Marina

A small peninsula that features Tarkov Yacht Club's offices, a boat pier, and a lighthouse that once guided ships to Tarkov's port. One of the boats that are still parked at the pier can serve as a getaway for PMCs (PMC-only extraction point), while the lighthouse is a Scav's safe spot (Scav-only extraction point).

Location -South-eastern part of the Shoreline, just south-east of the Gas Station, and south of the Radar Tower / Weather Station.The Marina is marked as number "8" on our Map.

Possible Loot:

  • In the trunk of an SUV parked on the road that leads to the Marina: East Wing Room 206 Key [San.206] and West Wing Room 219 Key [San.219] spawns.
  • In the office building: 1st floor: three File Cabinets, a Cash Register, loose provisions, and West Wing Room 205 Key [San.205] spawn (close to the File Cabinets). 2nd floor: a Safe and a PC Block in each of the two office rooms.
  • In the building behind the offices: a Cash Register.
  • At the Lighthouse: A Weapon Box and two Key Spawns (West Wing Room 219 Key [San.219] andWest Wing Room 205 Key [San.205]; look on the broken wooden box on lighthouse's second floor).

9. Village

An abandoned village, now inhabited by Scavs. Later in a Raid, it is almost certain that some NPC Scavengers will roam this area. The village consists of a few one to two-story households separated by fences, which makes the areafeel rather enclosed (which is good, because you are harder to spot and it is easy to find some cover). At the west end of the village, there is a Scav-only extraction point. Also, this area contains multiple PMC spawn points, so it will be highly contested at the Raid's start.

Location -Western part of the map, west of the Downtown and Villas, south-west of the Health Resort.The Village is marked as number "9" on our Map.

Possible Loot:

  • Pretty much all of the village's households have Jackets/Duffle Bags/Toolbox and some provision spawns inside them.
  • By the Tank, parked at the south-eastern end of the village, there is a Weapon Box.
  • There are also two Key spawns: West Wing Room 203 Key [San.203]Inside the house closest to the bus stop, on a chair, close to two Jackets; Cottage Safe Key [Safe]inside the bus that is parked next to the Tank, on one of the right-hand side seats.

10. Downtown / Cabins

Part of the abandoned village, separated from the rest of it by the main road. There are some spawn points at the edges of this area, and a possible NPC Scav spawn location near the main road.

Location -Western part of the map, west of theVillas, south-west of the Health Resort.The Village is marked as number "10" on our Map.

Possible Loot:Inside of the most eastern building: three Duffle Bags, two Jackets, and a Medbag (in a wooden shack left of the main gate), and some provisions (this is the best building for loot in the general area). Other buildings have similar loot, but just a bit less of it.

11. Weather Station / Radar Tower

Tarkov's main Weather Station, easily recognizable by a high white-and-red meteorological tower that dominates over theimmediate landscape (this place is also known as the "Radar Tower"). Top of the tower offers a good overview of the area but leaves you quite exposed, so you shouldn't stay on top for too long. Station's building is a two-story structure with an accessible roof (again, going up will make you exposed, so it is not a good idea in general).

Location -South-eastern part of the map (close to its middle), north-east of the Gas Station, and south-east of the Health Resort.The Weather Station / Radar Toweris marked as number "11" on our Map.

Possible Loot:

  • On top of the Meteorological Tower: A Grenade Box and the Health Resort Room 321 Key [Safe 321] inside the locker or on top of the Grenade Box.
  • By the Truck parked near the station's building: Two Weapon Boxes; one on each truck's side.
  • Inside the station's main building: 1st floor: multiple provision spawns, one medbag, one duffle bag; 2nd floor: some loose rare item spawns, three File Cabinets, loose Electronics, a Safe, and a PC Block.
